I had called the ultrasound place at the start of the week and requested that I not see one of the sonographers there because he always gave me bad news (although he is great - he is one of their senior sonographers) and they assured me I wouldn't have him. Well.. out he walks and calls me in. My heart stopped a little and I thought - this is NOT a good sign. Luckily I had Sarah with me to help me through it.
We went in and Sarah told him we were only here for good news today. And I added that last time he said he would give me good news - so he had no choice really! He had already promised after all.
I took my place on the bench and held my breath.... luckily for me it only took him a minute to find Snowflakes heart beating away! I felt so much relief! Snowflake is measuring right on 10 weeks and had a heart rate of 163bpm. He then gave me the great news that I could empty my bladder! :) hehe. When I returned he did a few more pics for us and we even saw Snowflake move! It jumped up then settled back down back in its little cozy spot! It was such a great experience! He tried to get some video footage for me to show Heath but Snowflake decided that they didn't really want to do any more exercise at the moment. :)

He also tells me that next time I will only have to drink half as much water - which is also great news :)
So.. Im up on cloud 9 somewhere with a big smile on my face! I'm so happy that Snowflake is growing and right on track as to where it should be! And Im so happy to see the heart flickering away in there.
Snowflake is looking more like a little bub now too and less like a blob. Happy happy days!
oh yay i am so happy, i knew you had nothing to worry about ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing to see little snowflake again with you Bel, a truly amazing experience, xoxox When snowflake jumped too that was just incredible. I love the pic of snowflakes feet - too cute! Looking forward to seeing how much snowflake has grown in a couple of weeks :-)
