Ultrasound

Today I went in to North Coast Radiology to have another scan.

The man was unable to make it as he had to work, so Sarah came along to help support me through it all - just in case.

Before the appointment I was feeling a bit emotional... I guess its normal to be concerned after all we have been through.

We went in and Barry, the Sonographer was able to find Snowflake straight away :) he had a quick look at the sac and around my uterus and then he focused a little more on what was in the sac. There we saw our little Snowflake blob, heart beating away. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it was to see it flickering away on the screen. I thought the heart looked a bit like a little chomping pacman :p the way it was pumping away was just gorgeous!

Snowflake is measuring about 8mm and this ultrasound showed that we are 6wks 4 days today - based on that, due on the 11th June. I think my gp will stick with my due date based on my LMP which is 10th June 2010 - which im ok with.

Snowflakes heart was 130bpm which is great! Barry was very happy with everything in there and im feeling much better. I started to feel a little anxious as I expected my due date to be a few days ahead of what he said, but we have a nice strong heartbeat and there has been some growth so im trying, once again, to remain positive.

We can't wait to meet you little Snowflake. Please keep growing! Please keep strong!
